unfortunately, I had to spend the day in the er. Last night, around 6pm I wasnt feeling well and started vomiting
excessively, which lasted consistently until about 11 am this morning. I
started cramping so I gave my doctor a call and he instructed me to go
to the e.r since I havent been able to hold anything down. They found I
was partially dehydrated so I was put on an iv and given fluids and
zofran.
I had an u/s and it was the most amazing experience
ever! LO was flipping, kicking and wiggling all around! Every time the
tech placed the monitor on my abdomen, lo would put its hands straight
over its face and s/he's also a leg crosser! LO looked perfect with a
strong heartbeat of 154 bpm and was even measuring two days ahead but
they found a subchorionic hemorage - a tear between the placenta and
uterus which is causing pretty consistent cramping.
Doc said its
not uncommon for this to happen and that in fact, 25% of pregnancies
have them and its not great cause for alarm since its very small but its
something that needs to be watched. Im on pelvic rest until further
notice or until my OB reads the report and schedules a follow up with
me.
